I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and Christmas. I had a wonderful holiday with my family and can’t wait to ring in the New Year with them.
We were invited to a few New Year’s Eve parties this year (which I was super excited about) but have since decided to stay close to home. Since we’ve become parents, we really try to keep ourselves and the kids off the roads during the times when drinking and driving is more prevalent (just as a safety precaution).
Below are a few outfit ideas that, if we WERE going out, would have been super fun to wear.
Clockwise from upper left:
1. Pair an Audrey Hepburn-esqe V-neck dress with unexpected studded heels to amp up the traditional “LBD”.
2. This gold strapless knee-length dress is a total show stopper. Pair with a simple gold bangle to keep the jewelry minimal and let the dress do the talking! Heels with straps will help you dance the night away. (I didn’t add a picture of Spanx, but you know what’s up)
3. This next dress is channeling the gorgeous Marilyn Monroe with its soft white flowing pleats. Add fun gold heels and gold eye liner to set the look off.
4. Finally this long sleeve geometric print dress is just to die for. It’s sparkly, classy, elegant while still remaining sexy. The length along with a minimal shoe will help show off those gorgeous legs you were blessed with! I’ve topped it off with a horseshoe midi ring to help bring good luck into the new year.
And finally the lips. All of these looks can support a hot red lip, so give it a go and wear it proud!
******Friends, please remember not to get behind the wheel if you’ve been drinking. It’s better to wake up on the couch at your friends’ house a little embarrassed, then wake up in jail or the ER. There are plenty of services out there you can call ahead of time to set up a pickup/drop off. Check out sites like BeMyDD.com, or check with your local cab company. If you are hosting a party, it might be a good idea to have a list of local cabs ready by the phone or front door.********
Help your friends and loved ones make it home safely.
Peace, Love and lots of Computer Hugs!!
